That both your ECU program and JWT's ECU program will retard the timing when knock is detected BUT your ECU program retrads it more because your porgram has more advance in the high octane program. So there is more of a difference. I can understand that but it still doesn't mean that the JWT ECU program will not protect against knock and retard the timing. Which in turn even with an aftermarket boost controller you should be able to notice a problem just like you did with your program. Although your program is probably more noticable since the difference in timing is greater??
